Íñigo Zeberio

Íñigo Zeberio

Íñigo has two great passions in life: cooking and the sea. As a native son of San Sebastian, he feels a deep connection to his homeland and has been shaped by the city’s kitchens and currents. His first memory is fishing for crabs in La Concha bay with his grandfather, and nowadays he can be found surfing La Zurriola’s waves whenever he’s not in the kitchen. He began working at a young age, first as a swimming instructor and lifeguard and later as a chef. He has spent more than a decade behind the stove in kitchens throughout Spain and studied culinary arts at the Basque Culinary Center. Iñigo is energetic, charming, and full of life, and he has returned to his home city to share the wonders of Basque cuisine with others. He cooks with love and laughter, and he knows that cooking is all about sharing moments with friends old and new.

Katharine Giery

Katharine was born and raised on an island in the southern United States, and as a child she spent every waking moment either riding horses or exploring the woods. After graduating from university, she decided she needed a bit of adventure before facing the “real” world, and she headed off to San Sebastian. She packed her suitcase in the fall of 2009 and has been living in the Basque Country ever since. Her time there has included attending culinary school, restaurant work, teaching cooking classes, on-and-off blogging, and always trying to improve her photography.
