Gabriella Ranelli de Aguirre, founder of Tenedor Tours is a Spanish food expert who contributes to Spanish and international media. She was named one of the top 10 food guides in the world by the Wall Street Journal. Considered the leading foreign observer of the Basque Culinary scene she appears frequently in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Gourmet Magazine. and other publications. She has filmed food and travel programs for the BBC, PBS and Aljezeera as well as Spanish and Basque television.
Gabriella holds a Masters degree in Viticulture and Oenology and as the founder of Tenedor Tours has spent the last 20 years working closely with chefs to convey the wonders of Spanish foods and wines to the English speaking world. She teaches at the Basque Culinary Center and has been a culinary educator for the Culinary Institute of America. She also runs Gabriella’s Kitchen, a cooking school and wine tasting center in San Sebastian. In 2012 she was awarded the Mahasti Jaun prize for her contribution to the D.O. Txakoli de Getaria wine region and in 2013 The Glutton Club award for most relevant company on the gastronomic scene.
Cristina Lagé Manich
Cristina was born in Barcelona and moved to San Sebastian in 1994 where she developed a great professional experience in organizing events, tourism, marketing and publicity, as well as management and entrepreneurship.
During the past few years she has worked leading Cyrasa International Office (Iberoservice) specialized in incentive organization; and has worked as head of congress in Hotel María Cristina; in the publicity department of PRISA group; and she has developed the Jean Louis David franchise, giving her great experience and knowledge in management and brand placement.
She manages Via Fora restaurant since 2005 in San Sebastian, a charming and successful representation of catalan gastronomy. Cristina has also collaborated with Etb2, local TV, as a political and social commentator.
She is owner and manager of Ikai Producció since 2004, which in December 2013 was transformed together with her partners into a receptive agency: Just in San Sebastian.
Xabi a local from San Sebastian or Donosti, trained as an industrial engineer and with an MBA IESE in management, has been a manager of various industrial companies for the past twenty years, where he has gained experience and knowledge in entrepreneurship, organisation, management, control and detailed follow up of projects. ¨I am in love with my city I am a true citizen of Donosti, it's in my DNA, I am proud of sharing with others the beauty and secrets that San Sebastian holds, and I have decided to combine both my skills with the love I have for my city. It will blow your mind. ¨
